Garden by the Bays - Snap shot by Paramacharya Sadasivanathaswami

Panorama mode photo shot using iPhone by Paramacharya. Although unable to meet Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami at Changi airport for dinner because we need to rush back to Malaysia before midnight. Sis Vasantha has a medical appointment the following day in Kajang, but I am so glad to meet Paramacharya and Saravanathaswami once again.

Dr. Maruthu, Sister Vasantha and I travelled to Singapore eagerly wanted to meet Satguru and all the monks who made a short, 1 1 /2-day stop-over in Singapore, after Innersearch Mauritius before proceed to Hawaii. Our objective is to hand over prayer item to the monks to be carried back to Kauai monastery. Dr Maruthu and Sis Vasantha drove down to Melaka a day before our journey to JB. Packing were done before midnight. Our travel to JB begins at 8.00 am from Klebang.

It was a beautiful trip. Our car in-travel conversation surrounds of Gurudeva's teaching. We had an enthusiastic discussion  on awareness and meditation. We're so engrossed on our discussion, we ran out of fuel at the Skudai highway, near Murugan temple. A time to catch up to clear JB CIQ is by 12.00 nn. Dr Maruthu and I quickly ran down to Petron station, leaving Sis Vasantha in the stalled car. It was her first experience having car run out of fuel ( good anubava for her: -) ) We walked about 2 kilometres and drenched walking under the hot sun. It was fun in the sun!!

Not deterred, we managed to reach JB town by 11.45 am and parked our car at Metro. We decided to take a cab to Singapore as the best option, as we are carrying substantially heavy luggage. The sprawling majestic JB CIQ would be a heavy task, taking into consideration of having to scan and then hurrying down to catch-up bus to Singapore CIQ and then to Kranji MRT.

Taxi is the best option. We got one; the fare is RM15/ person and it will be all the way to Rochor Road, near Little India. Each of us carried "2 bags." Dr Maruthu suggested  lunch at Tekka Road. So, we walked again all the way to Komala Villas. Another few kilometres of walking! We're happy though, cheering and talking of sadhana practice.

After lunch, we recouped our energy and took MRT to Bayfront from Little India. We walked another few kilometres to GBB, flower garden. I I'd never walked considerably a long distance in many years! Kind of mini "Paatha Yatra." I was totally soaked and drenched! Perfect, we reached 3.30pm.

The walkabout with Swamis and Sadhakas is at 4.00pm. Refreshed ourselves, we repacked into one carton and handed over to Singapore devotee. Our sadhana is done!! We're so happy that all went well. We enjoyed the walk and the joy to be with the monks just overwhelmed us!

The trip back was quite smooth, We had a quick dinner at a vegetarian restaurant in China Town. a 45 minutes MRT ride from Clarke Quay to Kranji and then hopped on Causeway  link bus back to JB City Square. Drove and reached Melaka at 1.30 am the next day. Short, sweet and wonderful evening and  a lot to talk-about journey. We'll be sure to reminisce our experience sometime later when we meet again!
