Indecisive and fickle love mindset.

This is an age old word. It can be a boon or bane faced by millions of couples around the globe. Love, a phrase, word, physical action or subtle transmission of inner magnetic force fields, is one of the most common universal spoken mantra daily!

Number of dictionaries defines love as variety of feelings, states, attitudes that range from interpersonal affection. E.g. “I love you mother” to pleasure like, “I love that meal."

It further explains that it can be a virtue representing human kindness, compassion and affection – the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for good of another. Love also can be described as compassionate and warm action towards other humans, one’s self and animals.

Among others, they define love in various forms of acts as a major catalyst of interpersonal relationship due to psychological significance as a function that keeps continuation living species.

How much value one can measure this sacred word nowadays? One would sure scratch one’s head; therefore, I leave it to the readers to answer to this question! Take your shot, please!

The equal gender liberalism view of love expression without strong conviction of feelings does take a toll to millions of couples around the world. I leave out the other non-human species for now!

“I love you," words expressed today become “I hate you” tomorrow

Conditions are set, expectation that either one follow action that satisfies or pleases, otherwise it’s, “I hate you." These expressions do not necessarily by verbal method, but can be by implied manner.

Action says it in the absence of word expression; worst still the no action too can be a source of “I hate you or I don't like” exhibition of feelings.

Its how one party senses the subtle hidden projection through speeches, inhibitive body language and in extreme cases, displeasure direct rebuttal or raging anger tantrum.

Modern day love is more of physical in nature, devoid of true soul bonding. It is temperamental mercurial love, with largely missing “mutual respect” of each other’s weakness and strength.

Breaking of communication lines for an extended period of time, reclusive and withdrawn to inflict pain by perceived subtle punishments to their partner equally derails lasting relationship.

Hurry to fall in love today, and then fall apart the next day and move to the other person is a common phenomenon.

It happens to youths as well as to adults.

The operational women, a term I used for out of house working ladies, travelling businessman and extremely busy working man breaks apart family live system (arguable) are amongst vulnerable people.

Falling in love and shortly after, falling out of love!

It’s a funny situation, nevertheless mind-boggling to the older generation, even to me, who have not seen so much of free flow of love expression words in earlier days,  it’s sheer non-verbal actions that speaks louder that the word itself, showing of inner  love that only can be felt by both of them, telepathically creating bonds that binds for life-time; unlike the one akin as the bottle colas in this present day, where it sizzles first and then fizzles out, as quickly as soon the can is opened.

Void of “true love," this kind of mutual attractions never to last.

It inflicts lasting pains and sufferings, both mental and physical nature. It creates out-of-wed pregnancies that need abortion among the youngsters, extramarital affairs, short flings during trips, hook-ups with office mates, etc.

This is why I strongly believe for a lasting love relationship, for partners in particular, a clear formation of mind set on realistic future goals and strict spiritual understandings is prerequisite before committing, otherwise, it will be a waste of energy, time and creates bad karma to be be faced in the future.

Gurudeva, Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami elucidated on this aspect in His Holiness Master Course lesson books with such clarity.

Gurudeva, in spiritual realms from Hindu practices, advices His devotees to be careful and discerning enough when selecting partners because has potential future implication.

No hurry, no worry and no sorry, Gurudeva is spot on when admonition  His worldwide congregations.

It’s better to marry a person from the same religion, denomination or those who are willing to be part of that tradition or sampradaya) to avoid unnecessary negative karmas.

No forcing is done here! Explain this to your future partner with a clear conscience. Be bold and don’t worry being rejected.

Life partner is meant for a lifetime, a godliness relationship that requires zero inharmonious conditions, albeit of occasional hiccups, settled within 24 hours and not more than 3 days of no communication.

The man of the house must insist on this in loving nature to his is future partner. She has to understand that from the very start both are an equal partner. He is the King and She is the Queen.

Love is a spiritual bond that binds two hearts, a lifelong commitment, no matter in what situation they’re once that a commitment is done.

Therefore, it is the ability to withstand any situation together thence on.

Once signed in their loving hearts, there is no turning back, unless under certain circumstances such as abusive acts, violence and physical torture that endangers life of either  partner.

Choose a partner who is matured, may not be perfect in all sense, spiritual, religious, joyful, who is willing to stay till your last days on earth, loyal, trustful, who doesn't see you in a bad light when you're down or bedridden, who accepts your shortcomings as long you're genuine takings steps to improve those deficiencies, be it in attitude or behaviours.

There will no room for fickleness, indecisiveness and erroneousness judgemental mindset. It does not love first and break-off later if not happy or yo-yo feelings due to day to day life pressure or changing circumstances.

Think thousands of times before uttering this word to your potential partner or future spouse, once confirmed, commit it till death do us apart!!

When promises are made it's casts in the inner-worlds, revoking them means demerit karmas to be paid in equal proportion by the doer(s).

Love can behave childishly but it's not child play. Love means responsibility. It concerns heart, not just blind external physical attraction for short term gain. It goes beyond this life-time as  bonded souls to attain the highest goal of life, self realization.

I have not touched on other aspects of lasting relationship from the viewpoint of Sanadhana Darma.

All can be read on www.gurudeva.org. Learn and practice one's religion with understanding.

Perhaps some other time folks!!

Ravichandran Ceyon speaks from his experience and says thanks to his spiritual masters, the Rishis of yore and modern the day jagadacharyas for their lasting love and light who showed the way for his self-transformation.

Accepting responsibility to life experiences and be happy all the time.

“Growing up has never been as easy as drinking a cup of tea," we may say this whenever we find a situation where explanation is needed to those who come to us to solicit advice or otherwise.

If you observe very carefully, of all the aspects of wholesome living to achieve health and wealth where we rummage around high and low, it is always a missing component that makes each and every one of us moving forward, either knowingly or unknowingly.

If one has health and wealth, he may miss having good family. Likewise, one may not have wealth but rich with good health and good family or have good family and health but no wealth. It has to be that way! Always a missing piece!

Why? You may ask. I don’t have a clear answer to this question. Spirituality does lay out some excellent reasoning. It was probably, creator’s purposeful grand scheme that wants us to keep searching that missing element throughout our life, or perhaps in stopping the search at all!

Gurudeva, my spiritual master’s one of the best quotes,” It’s not in the searching but rather in stop searching.

Don’t analyze, just realize.”

How to do that is another question altogether. (More read-up can be done on www.gurudeva.org,  in the on-line book section)

Life is about not living in material fullness, but experiencing the nature of actions one goes through so that we move nearer to the God we eager to see. If not, we can get “bored." Nothing to seek for, sitting in happiness 60 minutes an hour, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout our lives! That will be heaven on earth! Don’t you think so?

I am not saying happiness in the normal term here. Happiness is a vast subject matter that can be argued further and explored in detail. What I meant here is happiness in the moment of living now, not something to do with future or the past. It’s all about now! Are you happy now, this very moment reading this write-up?

A feeling of fullness in any moment in time, though you may not have all your desired material richness, right now. This is what I meant, being happy in this very second in our lives, regardless what, when who, how, where we’re; disregarding all other inadequacy factors.

We may have “gifted” with superb mother, but horrible father; the best father but, unfortunately, fierce mother. Some lucky enough to have exemplary parents. The not so lucky ones get brutal parents and devilish as nightmare package.

Some may be born with a silver spoon, having the most-little challenges life has to offer because they’d much more conducive living environment; however, this might not be true, if happiness measurement is to be gauged for that matter.

Do they have a happy life after all?

How one argues about the inequalities of happiness when it is seen from the viewpoint of diverse family with myriad background situation?

“Why it happens only to me, not others?”, you lament when “bad” occasion met your way. Looking from the outer external perspective, it will be easiest to blame reasons not coming from the self, but due to the other people, whom we presumed, seemingly had created the situation or happenings we frown upon.

Many of us simply don’t want to accept a minute splatter of responsibility. Besides, there are individuals who even camouflage their true identity to avoid being looked as the creator of issues, playing innocent victim of circumstance.

Pointing the one finger unto others, blaming their misgivings or unfortunate situation are creation of their  distractors, but missing the point, the remaining folded fingers are actually directing to themselves as the true cause of unhappiness.

This helpless soul goes through life never able to accept that all the problems that surfaced are originated from the self. They use intellectual mind faculty to reason out, unable to see beyond the surface, thinking what they do is right.

“This is indeed sheer ignorance," says the enlightened spiritual masters.

My Satguru, His Holiness Sivaya Subramuniyaswami in his reflective and amazing books such as Merging With Siva (MWS), Dancing With Siva (DWS) and Living With Siva (LWS) published in Kauai, Hawaii, encouraged each one of us to take responsibility of our own life and be happy at all the time, no matter in whatever situation we are in or going through.

Face life challenges cheerfully by taking up responsibility.

We can be jumping and running away from contentious situation created by ourselves, to another place when faced with life acid test. Never attempt to resolve them with proper understanding thinking we can find happiness elsewhere!

There are many unhappy souls does this actions, so often that they seem to be “enjoying” doing it continuously throughout their lives.

Love, promise, hate, anger, jealousy, fear, the capital case E-go, revengefulness, etc. never let them settle at one place. Their searching for that particular feeling of happiness keep eluding them; this includes me as well, to a certain degree though the source of issues may not be me, but as a person who vowed to take responsibility,

I’ve rested on a sailing master called “ownership," rather than blaming others. It’s really helpful in maintaining a balanced mind and looking from the inner perceptive, nothing is right or wrong concept. It’s all in the experience or in Sanskrit it is called “anubava.”

Keeping to promises made to all, live a spiritual life, accept the situation however bad they can be with cheer and work to improve the situation. Seek good company.

Regularly attend worships places of ones religion. Join pilgrimage and travel to faraway spiritual destination. Honest and truthful to one’s spouse, children, parents and being happy in their company.

Seek fresh air, be pliable and perform “sadhana," exercise and love all.

Additionally, do read spiritual books to intellectually understand religion and practice to best of your ability.

Seek spiritual masters as guide and adhere to their advice.

Be simple and take life easy. Be happy.

That is what all happiness is about! Can you see that now?

Hopefully, that flicker of happiness will soon be seen by you. Don’t enjoy, but rather be in joy!

Ravichandran Ceyon thanking his spiritual masters for their guidance, light and love.

Everyday is Mother's Day!

To my wonderful mum who went through so much of pain in her life to ensure we had a decent life. She inculcated good values, feed us with spiritual teaching and been a wonderful mother.

She would invite any destitute and beggars who pass our home and provide them with decent, freshly cooked food and packed them more after giving few pieces of old clothes and some money.

She never expects anything in return except their blessed words. She will explain to us that, " You may never know who visited our house?

They could be the Good Lord himself. Gods come in may forms. It's our duty to serve them as though God visiting our home."

She taught us to do charity at a very young age, an act that we continue till today. Pray to God she recovers
her mental strength fast from her operation. Always reminds us of accumulating good deeds"punya" rather than material possessions as our foremost goal in life.

Until today, we remain as individuals with minimum material desired children. Her act of giving become our precious begotten "wealth."

True, the magnetic pull of current modern living lifestyles, the chase for happiness through material accumulation and the constant worries over affordability of living doest attract to our mind so much except for continuous education and spirituality.

Its though field out there to compete with "rough and rugged" living environment when we are measured by external nices of material holdings and status in society. Amidst this constant pull and subtle insinuation from peers, friends, relatives, even loved ones to be on par with so called "successful persons", we, her kids remain not so perturbed. Firmly believed that the happiness from within as foremost wealth.

We'd rather work hard to live and balance life, than to possess all those grand large houses, cars, lands, golds, etc. This is her wish too....

At the age of 74 years old, her heart remains as strong as a young man, but her mental resilience had taken a downward slope. Get well soon mum.

Papaya Leaf for dengue cure!

It could be a miracle cure for dengue. And the best part is you can make it at home. (apologies for the typo in the pic)
The juice of the humble papaya leaf has been seen to arrest the destruction of platelets that has been the cause for so many deaths this dengue season. Ayurveda researchers have found that enzymes in the papaya leaf can fight a host of viral infections, not just dengue, and can
help regenerate platelets and white
blood cells.
Scores of patients have benefited from the papaya leaf juice, say doctors.
Papaya has always been known to be good for the digestive system. Due to its rich vitamin and mineral content, it is a health freak's favourite. But its dengue -fighting properties have only recently been discovered.
Chymopapin and papin - enzymes in the papaya leaf - help revive platelet count, say experts. ...
Source : Times of India.
===========================
how to prepare the juice:
Take leaves of a papaya tree. Wash properly, grind, and squeeze the juice into a bowl or a glass. Drink a glass or two every day for at least 4 days (minimum) apart from other fruit juices. Remember, it’s not the fruit, but the leaves of papaya. (FYI it tastes Bitter!)"
======================
Several friends have written in to tell us and our other readers that papaya leaf juice is often given to dengue sufferers in their countries. We want to thank each of you for taking your time to share that with us. We’re compiling those comments here.
Sanjeev from Rampur U.P, India, was one of the first readers to suggest papaya leaf juice for dengue. “The tested medicine for dengue is papaya leaf juice, 2 teaspoons twice a day, with gloyey (ayurvedic medicine.)"
Ashok Somani from Bagalkot Karnatak, India, also suggests using papaya leaf to help dengue sufferers, and explains how to make it. Ashok writes: “When the dengue is serious and the blood platelet count is decreasing, take a leaf of a papaya tree and grind with water. Take this juice on an empty stomach.”
It’s interesting to note that papaya leaf juice seems to be a common natural help for dengue patients in at least several Eastern countries. Janaka from Sri Lanka also wrote mentioning papaya leaf juice for dengue. Here’s Janaka’s comment:
“Apart from many natural herbs which will increase one’s immunity, the juice of papaya leaves significantly increases the platelet levels, even with a few teaspoons. In my country it is standard medical practice even in hospitals, since they claim they have no treatment for this disease!”

Happiness

HH Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami often quotes,"It takes a lot of courage to be happy all the time."

"If a man yearns wholeheartedly for victory in subduing the mind, let him practice Sivadhyanam daily. [Daily meditation on Siva.] Then he will see for himself that, step by step, his mind will become one-pointed. Serenity, forbearance, control and other such good qualities will arise in him. His mind will be always full of joy. He will not be dragged down by praise or blame, but will enjoy happiness in his inmost soul, and the thought that the well-being of others is his own will flood his heart." --Satguru Siva Yogaswami
