Amirthavarshini - Sri Sampagodu S Vignarja

He walked in with grace, he is prolific singer , his songs are superb, and we are inspired by his renditions of great classical songs!
One of the most enchanting vocal renditions, I'd ever attended is "Amirthavarshini" by Sri Sampagodu S Vignaraja's carnatic vocal concert. This 2 hours vocal concert was held at TFA(Spore) on 21st, February in Singapore. Once again, I was swept away to another "loka" listening to his powerful, brilliant and reverberating vocal cord.

Each and every spew of his music notation out from his larynx, pierced deep into our earpiece drums. We're transfixed to his "bava". His mastery in rendering his songs were fantastic. He is verily a professional "music sculptor" indeed. He sculptures the vocal sounds to form mental visual musical shapes from the original great Indian carnatic music composers/singers and we could "view" all these in beautiful sound formations.

He has powerful vocal cord that could easily scale up and down all the octaves with ease and style. Gifted with an incredible energy level, his voice glides effortlessly as though like a feather floating soft and gently in blowing winds.

We thought 2 hours was not enough to quench our thirst. We in unison cajoled him for more and he obliged us and sang an extra half hour. What a day and a concert to remember for a long time.
Thank you so much for the concert and your live vocal music to us and we need more in the near future, perhaps in a larger concert hall...!!
