I had a wonderful and fabulous weekend last week. A trip to Mount Pulai water fall, a 15 minutes drive from home, yoga class on Saturday; peace forum and teaching kids on Sunday. Kept myself busy and basked in these activities with joy and bliss!
The usual monthly trip to Mount Pulai takes less 20 minutes drive. Taking left turn at a trunk road just before Kulai toll plaza directs the journey heading towards Pekan Nenas. At the foot hill of this strategic mountain, lies kampung Sri Gunung Pulai and Gunung Pulai palm estate. The famed Kem Bina Negara also situated here to.
Mount Pulai waterfall had been closed for public for some years now. I had to excess by walking through the back way of kampung houses along the stream. The scenery was serene and quite. I loved listening the birds chirping and crickets screeching the lush rain forest mountain. Listening to rushing water passing the boulders and fallen tress cools down my stressed mind and body.
Colorful butterflies pollinating from flower to flower, water dragon cruising on surface of the stream water, beetle camouflaging on tree bark. Wild guava tree bearing flowers and shinny fruits, attracts my eyes to pick one and taste
A family of monkey roams by the stream collecting wild berries. I just sat down observing them and continued my ganga sadhana- a mental cleansing ritual I practiced once a month for the past couple of years now.
The wild berries, a small hairy blue in color has sweet sour taste when eaten. I used to pick plenty of wild berries in the secondary jungle during my scouting days. The sweet flavour can enhanced with adding milk and honey. A nutritious food indeed!!
By noon, more visitors started to stroll in and I decided end my exciting picnic in the woods and prepared to attend yoga class later in the evening.

Happy New Year, Vishu and Vaisakhi greetings!
I'd never thought that even in this watered down economy situation, I was kept on my toes with plenty of activities. Not to forget to mention of what a a hectic schedule, travelling back and fro to my home town, Segamat and crossing over the Singapore-JB causeway on number of occasions. Succumbing hard to let go sinusitis inflammation.
My presentation to P&G Asia Pacific region's representative, caught their eyes and were full of praises and good wishes ( thanks to the gods). I missed an important event last week, TFA's founder day celebration due to health issue. Recovered towards the weekend and attended Jonathan Livingston Seagul full musical dance programme by TFA(Singapore) at Victoria Theatre. It was full house event with some excellent props, light arrangement and wonderful dance sequences.
It was my first trip to Singapore since the opening of Malaysia's new CIQ complex. I must say that the huge complex is heartwarming to view, but there are many aspects of practical usage as this newly completed complex was not in original plan. It was a scaled down version from bridge, termed '' scenic bridge'' concept. the road leading to beginning point of JB causeway is like a racing circuit - winding and stretched. The complex offers narrowed car road lanes. This will cause massive traffic jams if any car were to breakdown inside!!
Today, heralds another new year beginning for Hindus. Virothin new year, falls in the month of Chitra. Also, celebration of Vishu for Malayalees and Vaisakhi for Sikhs.

Ask for forgiveness from all your friends relative etc. Forgive all who have hurt your feelings.Bless everyone wholeheartedly.Show gratitude for all the goodness that you have by saying thank you..Smile and be happy always. Hamsanadham - the swan's song came alive!!
Jotic theater came out alive with a different music galore on 28th March, 2009. The auditorium was fully packed. A full scale of publicity campaign were embarked by TFA couple of months earlier, just to ensure there'd be no lack of information inviting them to attend.
The effort has been really paid of when, by 7.30pm a full capacity crowd had swelled Jotic auditorium. The program started on the dot - 7.30pm with Master Shankar Kandasamy's (TFA Dance Director) opening narration of what the audiences would expect to savour and then followed by his solo Bharata Natyam offering to Lord Ganesha as a prelude.
In the the first half of the show, the senior students of TFA, JB and KL performed varied dance numbers, a combination of pure classical and fused numbers ranging from odisi, Rajasthan's folk dance, Bharata Natyam, a fusion Indian classical with Spanish folk dance and contemporary ballet with classical Indian.
The second half of the show was a pulsating and entertaining performance. No doubt, it was a magnificent sitar, tabla performance by Malaysia's accomplished and internationally acclaimed sitar maestro, Samuel J. Dass and table virtuoso, Prakash Kandasamy who have strings of gold medals and other accolades between them.
Both mesmerised the audiences with some exhilarating deft finger movements on their instruments. A rare musical journey that took everyone to another mood and emotion dimension. For the first time too, many music enthusiast in JB were able to view live performance of this stature of our very own internationally acclaimed local professional performers!!
Congratulations to all TFA managements staffs, teachers, students and technical crews for bringing us a fabulous musical programme of this stature and high standard. We would want to see many of our youngsters to take up music as their career choice and at the same time providing a safe refuge to those who wanted to dedicate a better life quality, involving, indulging and being in good company as well in a positive way doing a noble service to the society as whole!!
